Role of young learners in saving mother Earth
" We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. " Often environmentalist and and adults participating in the Climate Change and Environmental conservation discussions undermine the role of young people in slowing and reversing the adverse effects of Climate change. Learners can contribute alot in making the world greener. With many educational curriculums in different countries incoporating Environmental studies in theirnational Education Curriculums, learners are provided with skills and knowledge to turn the tide on global warming and make the world cleaner and greener. Learners are able to gain an understanding of effective agricultural practices and efficient energy production/conservations among other topics. As educators and environmentalist, if we encouraged all learners to plant a tree on their birthday we shall soon have over eight billion trees in a few years.
